WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR
When I was little I liked to be a "doctor" a lot, I attended my animals and dolls with -according to me at my innocent age- medicinal herbs (lol), It clearly didn't work but in my mind I was an excellent doctor. I grew up with the idea of when I was older it would be great to study medicine like my aunt and save many people.
Already when I started high school, in my first year, I thought that I could study architecture because of my manual skills since I also loved arts and sculpture, therefore I spent two years focusing only in what I needed to do to study architecture.
Only in my third year I remembered my dream of being a doctor as a young child, and I worked toward the new goal of studying medicine (although I had already ruined the last two years...) and managed, in my finals years, to be in the first place (score wise) of my generation. But with the PSU it was very difficult to get the necessary score for medicine, the first year I did the test, in 2018, I didn't get it so I took the year studying hard for the next one... Overall I gave the test three times, but I didn't get the score I needed, I was very frustrated for disappointing my family, but they supported me with my second choice, Dentistry, I wasn't very sure at first. even once i started classes i didn't feel comfortable with her until we started practice at the end of the year.
At the moment I feel comfortable in what I chose, I don't enjoy the theoretical much but I love the practical as it is easy to do. I hope in the future to get my degree, to practice, to select a specialty of my preference - I am interested in the forensic area - and to be able to enjoy with my family the fruits of my effort.
What an incredible story, everything happens for something and maybe your future was dentistry :)
