HOW CAN YOUR MAJOR MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE?
Hello everyone! I hope you are all very well. Today I will talk about something that I have already commented to you in previous Blogs, and that is that I study dentistry at the University of Chile, I am already in my second year and I will tell you a little about what the title of this entry goes.
Dentistry is a profession concerned with the prevention and treatment of oral diseases, including diseases of the teeth and supporting structures and diseases of the soft tissues of the mouth, so it is a profession of great importance in society.
Common conditions such as cavities, which can be very uncomfortable and painful in a person's daily life, are treated by the dentistry, and in the future I hope to be able to contribute to society by treating people who suffer from pain due to some oral injury, or help them feel more comfortable with themselves by doing some restoration or treatment that affects the esthetics of their smile, acquiring the necessary knowledge during the years that lasts the learning process.
Dentistry plays a very important role in today's world, since the smile has become our presentation to society, so, good oral health says a lot about a person, therefore, dentists are always promoting oral health care by brushing, regular visits to the dentist to check for possible conditions early before they get worse. Dentistry also encompasses the treatment and correction of malformation of the jaws, misalignment of the teeth, and birth anomalies of the oral cavity such as cleft palate.
So I consider that my career brings great benefit to the world and people, ensuring their health and working on their behalf.
Very good blog! It is interesting that just by fixing the smile we can change the quality of life of a person.
